This is another bicycle of excellent quality. The Kuwahara brand is recognized as a top quality manufacturer of moderately priced bicycles. This 1980's model features a 4130 chromoly, steel lugged frame which will last a lifetime, and longer. The drivetrain has been completely upgraded to an index shifting Shimano Atlus front and rear derailleur. Easy smooth shifting on a 21 speed modern drivetrain. It is one of the most versatile bikes we've had. It has been described as a "touring mountain bike". With fenders and a rear rack, it is well suited for commuting but is very much at home on trail systems and longer, leisurely rides. Everything has been disassembled, inspected, cleaned and reinstalled. It performs like new. Here are some of the highlights:
