CARRIER - Wald #215 Chromed Steel Rear Carrier

If you are looking for a tough, steel rack to jive with your vintage steel bicycle, this is it. Wald have been doing this for over a century! They know a thing or two about steel bicycle accessories. Your parents or grandparents probably owned one of their baskets.

So about the rack. Not really much to say beyond the tech specs (below). It is steel, strong, shiny and oh so cool! A rear rack that offers a classic styling that will fit most 26" and some 27" and 700c bikes based on individual characteristics. Oh and I just love how their products have the same model numbers from back in the day rather than fancy long names! 

• Made of 7mm solid steel rod
• Mounts to eyelets near the rear axle and the brake mount bridge between the seat stays. Your bike needs to have these.
• The rack has a 2" stop rail in the front to key things from sliding forward
• Stay (leg) length vertically from carrier to mounting hole is 13.25"
• Inside leg distance between stays (legs) on the underside of rack platform is 2.75". That means your tire and/or fender needs to be less than this for the rack to fit over it
• The rack platform is 5" wide and 13" long
• Weighs ~1100 grams!
• This rack will not work with disc brakes
• Made in USA
