This garden (Ooops!) farm variety cattle is commonly seen in our stables. This individual had a long life and was beyond saving so it was humanly euthanized. Since it didn't suffer, the head and horns remained in great condition. There appears a scar on the upper right side of the head, but is likely due to improper handling of the finished piece by the taxidermist and not a permenant feature. A very typical profile, the shorthorn variety has a sturdy head and short, slightly upturned horns of medium length. This particular animal was from the "Vetta" Ranch and the brands are clearly seen on the back of the head and less so on the left side of the snout. Sure to remind you of all those country roads enjoyed on two wheels!

Being in the bicycle restoration business there is no shortage of surplus parts. Bicycle taxidermy is a cool way to keep parts out of the landfill while showing off your paleo-bicycle coolness. A wonderful conversation piece that also speaks to your bicycling addiction and environmental consciousness.

  • made from up-cycled bicycle saddle and handlebars;
  • mounted on a beautiful hardwood 5/8" thick plaque, stained and polyurethaned for beauty and protection; a single keyhole hanger is located on the reverse
  • measures 16.5" (42cm) across horns and 12" (30.5cm) top to bottom and 4.5" (11.5cm) deep;
  • new sturdy hardware used in mounting the seat and bars to the plaque;
  • the bar end plugs are recycled wine corks; a FreeLander trademark;
  • this taxidermy is vegan;
  • the is a "dent" in the vinyl as shown in the pictures. I believe this to be a temporary impression from being in a crate with other pieces. If it concerns you, please ask about the status of this mark before purchasing.

Note to Buyer: Bicycle taxidermy is created from used bicycle parts. Each piece is different. Buyers should expect some small chips, scratches, tears and/or rust. Any significant damage to the parts will be noted in the description. Pictures are reflective of the actual condition.
