Shimano 105 RD-5501 Rear Derailleur (Long Cage-Black)

This c. 1999-2005 Shimano 105 RD-5501, 9-Speed Rear Derailleur (Long Cage-Black)  is in excellent condition both cosmetically and mechanically. Ideal for a road or touring bike where a triple crank is desired.

I'm not a 100% sure how I acquired this derailleur, but I believe it was a personal purchase nearly two decades ago. I upgraded my Shimano Tiagra Triple on my touring bike to a Sugino and needed a RD to pair with the Tiagra Triple on a road bike I fashioned for personal use.

All of our vintage parts have been disassembled, cleaned, inspected, polished and reassembled with lubricants. They are ready to install.
