This belt has been named "Spiffy" because of its rather fashionable buckle. It aspires to make it onto a pair of Khakis or dress pants someday. It is a light belt and has a very smooth, road tire tread pattern. There is a subtle wave pattern along its edges. The tread is in great shape. The belt measures 1.1" (28 mm) wide and is 40" (101.6cm) long to fit waist sizes 32-34". There are 8 holes spaced 1" (25mm) apart on this belt. Do measure an existing belt to compare lengths to be sure this is the right size for you or the person you are buying for; the very person who is so lucky to be on the receiving end of your good taste in accessories!
Bicycle tire belts are very comfortable, pass easily through belt loops and have just a little stretch. Each is an original and a conversation piece that speaks to both your bicycling way of life and contribution to a greener world. Well done!
Like all our tire belts, this one was made from a discarded bicycle tire. Where possible we use recycled buckles from traditional belts collected from a variety of sources, some of which contribute to local nonprofits. Each tire has been cut to give the best tread exposure, then cleaned and assembled using Chicago bolts (as opposed to rivets). This will allow the owner to swap buckles at a later date if so desired.
