Earring: August Oak Leaf

This is our August Earring featuring an Oak Leaf as a symbol of the second half of summer and that month when the acorns are ripening. The amber Swarovski® bicone crystal bead represents the reddish-brown colour of the acorns and fall leaves of the Red Oak common in these parts.

We do have others to choose from; to mark the passing of the months with a unique look.  We are working towards a unique earring for each month of the year. Check back often to see what's available :)

Each earring is handmade from a single silver bicycle chain link and an Oak Leaf punched from recycled inner tube. Double the bicycle goodness. These earrings measure 60 mm (~2 3/8") from the arc of the fish hook ear wire. The findings (hooks, wires, etc.) are nickel free.

As these are hand made from upcycled bicycle parts, each pair will vary sightly. (e.g the brand of bicycle chain may vary, slight 2-5mm variation in length of a pair, etc.)
